As the pandemic ​forced changes to everyday life in societies around the world -- some are now looking at the upside of a bad situation, the changes made that may be worth keeping long term.

Commuter transportation is a case in point -- as fear forced many workers to abandon buses and trains.

Mexico City seized the moment and literally laid out a path for an affordable alternative.
