U.S. lifts ban on Mexican avocado imports

Avocados are immensely popular in the U.S. and the vast majority consumed in the country come from neighboring Mexico. 

So a trade ban imposed earlier this month drew notice on both sides of the border. The ban didn’t last long, but the reason for it brings new attention to the problem of criminal cartel influence on trade.
